I love coming to this location just before a show. It's always packed with tourists but the line moves fast. I usually get the monthly banana cream pudding, this month's being the insanely-good "hot chocolate" with swirls of fudge throughout. 5 stars!!!
Located at the Edge. Service was good and it was my first time trying the pudding and they were very knowledgeable on the menu and the history of Magnolia.
I had my first taste of Magnolia in Chicago and I have been thinking about it since. I was soooo excited to stop by this location right before my show at Radio City and was glad there was no line when we arrived. I told my friends to try out the banana pudding so we all ordered a small cup. The first spoonful of it was magical. It was fluffy, creamy, and the banana pieces were heaven. It tasted just how I remember it tasting, delicious! The worker was friendly and our transaction was fast.
This location can get pretty busy, but the line usually moves pretty quickly. As always the original banana pudding is delicious, but this time we also tried the seasonal red velvet version as well. It was also super yummy and had bits of red velvet cake mixed in.
Banana pudding was so amazing.... Very rich.... but a must try.... I loved it in small portions.... Line out the door and around the corner...
This is one bakery whose "world famous" item actually lives up to the hype. The staff aren't friendly or welcoming, but they are fast so you'll generally be in and out pretty quickly. The interior is small and can get crowded with the two lines. Heads up: if you're just getting the famous banana pudding, get in the line for the register. If you're ordering anything else, you have to order at the front and then get back in the register line. No indoor or outdoor seating. No restrooms, WiFi, or parking. The banana pudding is a must try! It's creamy, delicious, and just the right level of sweet. Don't bother with anything else - none of the other pastries or drinks are worth the wait or the money. Prices are fair to slightly expensive. 10/10 recommend this bakery for the pudding!
I've been going to Magnolia Bakery for years now. This Rockefeller Center location always has a queue so prepare to wait, but they do not run out of items. FYI: The location in Moynihan Train Hall is a hidden gem and is always less crowded. If you only want pudding, you can go straight to the line to the cashier. If you want anything to drink or the baked goods, you need to wait on the left for assistance and then go on the line to the right to the cashier. The lines move fast. I always get their Chocolate Chunk Blondie ($3.95 each) and Magic Cookie Bar ($3.95 each). Their chocolate chunk blondie is a blend of a brownie and a blondie. The magic cookie bar is full of coconut flavor. Both are delicious and delightful. The puddings are always tasting fresh and soft. There are 3 different sizes (small, medium, and large). This most recent time, I got a small Classic Banana Pudding ($4.95 each) and a small seasonal flavor - apple crisp banana pudding ($5.75 each). The apple crisp banana pudding was mind blowing. There are actual pieces of apple and the pudding is so soft. Amazing!
